Four Weeks Post and Attempting a Long Stretch

Hello! Today marks four weeks post relalxer. At this point, I am starting to notice a little budding of NG. I am attempting to stretch for 16 weeks. I belive that I am can really do it this time. I have noticed that at 10 weeks, I have very little NG to relax. I am going to attempt this long stretch in hopes of reaching BSL this year. I am so excited about actually reaching goals this year. I have been in this grazing APL rut for too long.

What will get me to greater lengths this year? I believe that I have figured out a couple of things that are going to push me to where I need to be.
1, I am going to attempt more braid outs. I have found products that can make my braid out last longer.
2, I am going to increase my vitamin intake. I have slacked off this year because I didn't want the vitmains and the medicine for my flu/pnuemonia to counteract, so I let my vitamins fall off for right now. I will promptly pick up on them tonight.
3, I am going to attempt rollersetting for a couple of months. I have seen such great results with roller setting for long periods of time.
4, I am going to increase the amount of castor oil I will be using.

The sad part about this is that I believe that I would have had great length this year already if it wasn't for the setback I suffered at the salon. I see where there are long strands of hair that were finally emerging from the length that it has seen for so long. I believe that the patch of hair that was snatched out at the hands of the stylist would have been at a much greater length. Instead, it is much shorter than a lot of other strands in my head, and I have been nursing it back to health.

Hopefully, I can continue to create diverse styles that will keep me from looking boring. I will attempt another style next week. It will be a little similar to this style that I currently rocking but the twist style will be different. I believe that I will have another style in my hair by next Tuesday. I have been rocking this style for about two days now. I am trying to hold on to it for another three days. After five days, I plan to wash and do it again.

Well, thank you for reading. I plan to have more posts for you to read very soon.

  2. What new products are you using for your braidouts? I think I'm going to give braidout another try as well. I plan to relax after I give birth (7 months post relaxer). I figure braidouts will help blend my new growth.I just have to find the right products and techniques. Good luck on your stretch! Sounds like you have a good plan.

  3. Thank you both for your comments.
@Blutiful Blaq - congrats on the bun, lol, soror. Right now, I have quite a few products that I am going to try with my braidouts. One will be Cantu Leave in with a small amount of Aloe Vera. Another product combo will be foam lotion with barely diluted setting lotion. Another combo will be my creamy leave in of my choice and a small amount of aloe vera. I hope this can help you. When are you due???
