After much consideration, I have decided to do a sew in for the entire month of April to combing my hair and using any heat.
I pre-pooed with my hair mayo. It stayed for about 20 minutes. I rinsed my hair and followed up with my shampoo.
After shampooing, I sprayed black tea to my roots because I have been experience shedding the last couple of days. I rinsed the tea out and followed up with my Nexxus humectress conditioner and DCed for about two hours. After rinsing the conditioner, my hair airdried naked.
After my hair was about 60 percent dry, I began braiding my hair leaving only my front and crown out. After braiding, I I began sewing my own hair in!!! First time doing it, and I was so excited. My hair is Brazilian virgin hair and its 16" long. U only used part of one bundle. My leave out is not styled; it was only Bantu knotted out the way while I worked but I really believe I did a good job and I look forward to going all of April with this style.

I have never been so excited about buns before!!!
So, me and the fam went shopping today. I decided to put my hair in a bun, but I was being rushed. So I had no time to brush it or anything. I didn't even get to secure it properly. On the way out, I asked to stop by a dollar store to get some pins for my hair. I have never been in this particular store, so I was so excited to find these decorative pins. They have pearls on them. I cannot wait to rock them in buns.
Short blog, but I had to share.

Wash day - 6 weeks post - WEDDING HAIR!!! Pix heavy
Hello, everyone. As promised, I said that I would do a post on my wedding hair. I'm not the one getting married, lol. But a childhood friend on mines is getting married today. So, here I go with my wash day:
I took my hair down from my twist and curls. I decide to wear out like that to work. So I wore my hair big and curly. That night, all I did was put my hair into a bun, slapped on a bonnet and went to bed.
Fast forward and it's today, Saturday. I got up and decided to pre-poo because my hair was so dry. I used HELTR conditioner. I sectioned my hair of and put my hair up into Bantu knots. I prepooed for about thirty minutes and proceeded to shampoo and condition my hair really well with my Salon Care products.
After allowing my hair to air dry some, I began flexi rodding my hair. I used the largest rods I have. I believe they are 11/12". I could be mistaken. Anywho, I detangled my hair with my large toothed comb. Next, I used Hollywood Beauty Castor Oil on my nape and edges. I saturated my roots and ends with my Dark and Lovely Healthy Gloss Moisture Leave In conditioner. I sealed the conditioner in with my one and only Argan Oil Treatment. Next, I saturated my length with diluted setting lotion. I applied my Suave Keratin Infusion Smooth and Frizz Serum. I flexi rodded my hair in ten sections. I sprayed a small amount of one and only Argan Oil Spray Treatment and finished up with my TreSemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave in Spray as my heat protectant.
I am really going to have to learn how to use my new dryer, because after an hour I still wasn't dry. I did put some oil on my wet hair, so MAYBE that had something to do with it. Anywho, to avoid being late, I had to switch back to my tabletop hood dryer just to be extra sure that I would be dry.
I took my rods out and allowed my hair to fall some before I separated the curls. I decided to go with the larger flexi rods because I wanted a body wave style. I wasn't looking for defined curls. Plus the way that my dress's neckline is made, I wanted to have some hair on my shoulders, or a least around my neck.
So, my curls are separated and my hair is done. Y'all tell me what y'all think!!!
Thanks for reading.

Whats going on this week???
Howdy!
On Sunday, I tried my new stand dryer for the first time. I am not ready to give my opinion on the matter, yet. But lets say that this dryer has to grow on me. Well, I can go into a few details. I decided to flexi rod my hair Sunday. I sat under the dryer for an hour with the heat on high but the speed on low. Even though there was sufficient heat in the dryer, my hair did not dry. I think I am alittle intimidated by mynew dryer. I really do not want to mess anything up. Also, I have not used the ionic feature on my dryer yet. The instruction manual does not tell you how to use it, only how to put it together and what to stay away from. If anyone wants to give me alittle advice, it will greatly appreciated, lol.
Like I mentioned earlier, I flexi rodded my hair again. I actually attempted the twists-and-rods style again. I wante to try it with the flexi rods because I wanted my curls more loose. I was so happy with the results. I believe that I am going to use flexi rods with this style from here on. I haven't been able to post a picc this wash due to my work schedule, my school schedule (school has started for me again) and making time to do things for my family (ugh, the story of my life). I could take a pic now, but the style isn't fresh anymore. I am washing this style out Friday and putting it back sometime next week. I will definitely have a pic up then.
This Saturday, I will be attending a wedding of a friend of mines since elementary school. I will be six weeks post then, and I have been searching within the depths of my internal hair roledex on what hairstyle to rock to the wedding. I am still alittle unsure, so I am going to spend the rest of the week determining that. My hair seems pretty dry, so I believe that a heated DC is in order for Friday. I guess I will be coming up with a DC formula, also.
Pics will be up on this blog this week. I believe that I am going to put a picture of my 3 day old hairstyle on Instagram. If you are not following, find me at @enduring_ego1920. I follow back.
Until next post and pic!

Go to your local Sally's store NOW!!!
In selected areas, there is a 50% off of all clearance. I got these china glaze polishes for three bucks total. My local store had plenty, but these where the only colors that caught my eye. Plus, I had other clearance goodies that caught my eye.
Sadly, I wanted to buy this pretty rich brown, but I jumped the gun earlier this week and ordered it off amazon for 5 bucks. Definitely kicking myself for not waiting. :-(
I also got the second pic for very cheap: I paid 50 cents a piece for the combs. I got the file with the little lady on it for 25 cents. I got the mirror for about 3 bucks. I got the lashes regular price for 4.49. The rain bonnet was 1 dollar.
I also made up my mind about a dryer. Well kinda!!! Someone whose hair I do all the time decided to give me money on this dryer she saw at Sally's. It is gold n hot dryer. I got it for about 60 bucks if I really don't like it, I plan to give her the money for it and continue my search for a great dryer. I plan to keep the dryer for about two months and do a review on it ASAP. I plan to use it for the first time today and I cannot wait!!!
Other than these few treasures, Sally's has plenty of great things. I may go back today. If I do, I will take a pic of the display. I might as well go back today lol.
I'm so obsessed with hair, lol.

Shopping for a Hood Dryer ***please help***
Hello. I am looking for any and all information, suggestions, anything you have to throw at me.
For about three years, I have had this table top dryer. It is very noisy. The plug has melted quite a bit. I am afraid to keep plugging this thing in. Sometimes, it smells like something is burning and sometimes it doesn't. Having to find a table top or a sturdy surface gets annoying, so I am ready for a stand dryer.
I am pretty much shopping for a GREAT hair dryer. These are the qualities that I am looking for:
-quiet, or at lease alot noisy than most
(I live in a house where the bedrooms are pretty close, and I do not want to disturb anyone under the dryer)
-a dryer that does not suck or pull on my hair (one that I can do treatments under)
(I have read reviews on dryers that circulate hot air rather than blow, which cause hair to get sucked. I do not want to cause any damage to my hair)
-a dryer where I can do large roller sets
(I have thick hair, and I tend to do large roller sets and flexi rod sets)
-doesn't get too hot and too cool
(My mother will be using this dryer too, and she cannot handle a hot dryer)
-durable, not fragile
(I am not about wasting mony, lol)
I would love the PERFECT dryer, but we do not live in perfect, lol. So, there are the dryers that I believe that I have narrowed down for myself:
-Pebco
-Babyliss
-Gold N' Hot
I have read on positive and negative reviews on them all. I am subject to looking at addtional dryers, but I would rather have a dryer that suits my aforementioned needs.
Please, let me know what stand dryer you have. If you have a great table top dryer, please let me know. If it is really great, I will consider sticking to a table top. I really need an upgrade. Lol. Please give me anything: warnings, Stay-aways, positives, negatives, your personal opinions and experiences on whatever dryer you believe is good or bad. I really need to be more educated before I jump and buy a dryer that I am really going to regret.
Thank you so much in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Four Weeks Post and Attempting a Long Stretch
Hello! Today marks four weeks post relalxer. At this point, I am starting to notice a little budding of NG. I am attempting to stretch for 16 weeks. I belive that I am can really do it this time. I have noticed that at 10 weeks, I have very little NG to relax. I am going to attempt this long stretch in hopes of reaching BSL this year. I am so excited about actually reaching goals this year. I have been in this grazing APL rut for too long.
What will get me to greater lengths this year? I believe that I have figured out a couple of things that are going to push me to where I need to be.
1, I am going to attempt more braid outs. I have found products that can make my braid out last longer.
2, I am going to increase my vitamin intake. I have slacked off this year because I didn't want the vitmains and the medicine for my flu/pnuemonia to counteract, so I let my vitamins fall off for right now. I will promptly pick up on them tonight.
3, I am going to attempt rollersetting for a couple of months. I have seen such great results with roller setting for long periods of time.
4, I am going to increase the amount of castor oil I will be using.
The sad part about this is that I believe that I would have had great length this year already if it wasn't for the setback I suffered at the salon. I see where there are long strands of hair that were finally emerging from the length that it has seen for so long. I believe that the patch of hair that was snatched out at the hands of the stylist would have been at a much greater length. Instead, it is much shorter than a lot of other strands in my head, and I have been nursing it back to health.
Hopefully, I can continue to create diverse styles that will keep me from looking boring. I will attempt another style next week. It will be a little similar to this style that I currently rocking but the twist style will be different. I believe that I will have another style in my hair by next Tuesday. I have been rocking this style for about two days now. I am trying to hold on to it for another three days. After five days, I plan to wash and do it again.
Well, thank you for reading. I plan to have more posts for you to read very soon.

Previous Salon Trip Inspired Hair style (Attempt 1)
Hello, everyone. I am officially done with another grad class. I am beyond excited. I start another class on March 18th, but until then, I am going to relax, get my mind prepared for another class and do things that I have slacked on. My hair is one thing and this blog is another.
After I was done with the clas, I decided that I wanted to do something to my hair where I wouldn't have to manipulate it much. I decided to attempt the style that I was getting from the salon. So, I attempted it.
I applied ACV to my hair and rinsed. Next, I co-washed my hair with my generic Nexxus conditioner. I detangled with ease and applied a small amount of setting lotion to my air. I twisted my hair using a small amount of styling gel. My rubber bands are very loose on my hair. I applying Motion's foam lotion to the rest of my hair and rodded it with orange perm rods. I sat under the dryer for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes. My hair could have used a little more heat, but it was time for me to go to work.
I absolutely love it.
My hair is extremely soft. My curls has lots of body. My curls bounce effortless. Even the areas that I put gel on are soft. I did applied a small amount of holding spray onto the twists to help me keep the style longer.
It took me about 30 minutes to put the twists in and rod my hair on orange perm rods. I am extremely happy with the results. I am even more happy that I can perform this style and not have to pay the 30 bucks I was paying for this. So, I have saved 30 dollars, and my hair from another bout of destruction. Take that, Horrible Stylist!!! lol. I have noticed that my hair is trying to come back from that horrible incident. My hair growing back and thickening up in that spot where a great bit of my hair was snatched out. Also, I have been using damage care conditioners, strengthening conditioners and my castor oil.
I will try to leave this in for between five days to a week. When I go to sleep at night, I roll my hair back on the perm rods. I will be attempting another in a couple of weeks. So, be on the look out.
THANKS!

It is MARCH!!! What do I have planned for this month???
Hello, everyone. I hope that everyone is doing very well. I am doing pretty good myself. I just wanted to come and share what I will be doing this month.
First, I plan to get back on my prenatal vitamins. I have not been on them because I have been under the weather. So, I am going to start back on them tonight. Someone asked about the prenatals in a previous post, so I am getting a blog togethe on the benefits of prenatal vitamins.
Another thing that I am doing this month a huge increase in my JBCO. I cannot wait to get back on that. Due to my illness, which ended up being pnuemonia, I haven't been able to wash my hair as often as I wanted to. So, I have not put oil on my hair much, because I didn't want my hair to get so greasy that I would have no choice but fight the urge and wash my hair. I am alot better andd I am so ready to start back washing my hair like I want to.
I know I am going to increase the amount of JBCO I am using because I am getting my entire fam on it, and I cannot stop now with my hair lol.
I relaxed my mother's hair yesterday. I will be giving you an update on my mother's hair. I cannot wait to tell you the new things that we have been doing with her hair. I cannot wait for you to see her results.
I have been couponing, also. It is so fun. What makes it even more fun is that I coupon hair products. If you are following me on instagram, @enduring_ego1920, you may have noticed a couple of things that I have couponed, but I am about to put some other treasures on there today. I refuse to pay full price for most of my staple, cheap hair products anymore. A HHJ is very expensive at times. It is my hobby now, and I have to keep it up. So, I am using coupons to my benefit. I am about to go out now and buy something off coupon while it is on sale. LOL.
Currently I am three weeks post relaxer. I got a relaxer early February. I was in the process of transitioning phones, and I have not yet posted a picture of my results up. So, I will have that up sometime this month. Other than that, I have been slowly trying to pick up the pieces from my bout of sickness and get back on my feet. By the way, I have done this while still keeping up with my school work. So, everything has not slipped through my fingers.
This is pretty much it for MARCH. I am slowly getting my strength back and I will back in action before I know it. After this week, please be on the look out for more blogs. FINALS are this week. UGH! So, I am about to be busy for the next couple of days.
Until next time...
