Hello. Last month, I vowed to try to aim for two goals: keep my roots moisturized and apply JBCO to my hair four times a week. So, what happened?
I did meet my castor oil goal. I am so proud of myself for sticking with it. I would apply the oil to my ends or my edges or some roots. I would even add alittle in a a DC or a leave in. In all, I have noticed that my hair is a tad bit thicker. My roots are definitely starting to curl, being that I am almost a month post.
Unfortunately, I did not meet my moisturized roots goal. I had a hard time trying to concentrate on my roots while maintaining a decent hairstyle. However, I am willing to try again, but maybe another month.
This month, I designating this month To the End of May, lol. Basically this month is all about my ends. So, I have lined up two more goals for me:
-Baggy my ends AT LEAST two times a week
-Moisturize my ends every night
Not too hard, right? I am trying my best to keep my ends healthy and to retain as much length as possible.
For those who don't know, I have recently taken a vow not to put direct heat to my head at all for this entire stretch. I am aiming for either 12 or 16 weeks. Either way, I plan to use no flat irons and no blow dryers. So far, I am almost a month in and I am doing fantastic. I would be lying if I said I have not had the urge to flatiron, but thankfully I have been able to kick my "craving" in the butt and proceed further without direct heat. I have a counter above on how many days I have been going without direct heat. I usually use it every two weeks. A month is an awesome feat for me. I have never been past three weeks. I am excited. Even though my birthday is next month, I have no urge to flat iron for my special day.
I hope to keep it up. Follow my journey.
