so, i finally bought a wig!!! i was so excited. its synthetic. it was a little too shiny for me and i decided to wash it with apple cider vinegar and conditioner. it dulled so pretty, pretty realistic, lol. now i had failed to realize that i bought a wig almost three shades too bright. so, i can't be a summer wig. i decided that it will be my winter wig. i am in northern alabama now. it will start to get chilly very soon, september and october. i am so excited to wear it. i hope that i can go a while with wearing, hoping to increase my growth, stop my direct heat usage and get me to APL by december. ***fingers crossed***
i bought more castor oil and more moisturizer. i am hoping to get around and find people on campus to braid my hair and do whatever: box braids, sew ins, etc. i am three weeks post. because i do not have the resources for braids and the money to get my hair done every two weeks. i am hoping that i can eventually get the resources and be able to really do well by my hair.

Hi!!! I was looking at a site suggested by another Hairlista, it's called growafrohairlong.com. The lady gave some tips on braiding one's own hair. I am strongly considering kinky twists -- I will have to try that on a long weekend. Good luck!
